exploRE: REsidential

exploRE is excited to introduce a brand new residential experience for schools: the exploRE residential.

We have long been excited by the opportunities that a residential enrichment experience provides to young people as they grow and develop. This unique 48hr programme has been specially designed not only to meet many school curriculum targets in RE, PSHE and PLTS but - most importantly - also to address the specific issues, concerns and decisions facing a teenager in the 21st Century; so having a long-term impact on their lives as individuals and as students.

Students are given the opportunity to engage and succeed in individual and team-based outdoor adventure activities supervised by expert instructors. As part of the programme, students will also participate in interactive multimedia workshops run by the YFC team.

Our theme is 'exploRE: freedom', covering topics such as...
  • Handling emotions
  • Learning forgiveness
  • Exploring life purpose & values
This fast paced, exciting programme only runs on selected dates through 2011... with a limit of 220 students per event, so hurry before your preferred dates fill up as interest is expected to be high! Just £80 to £115 per person + VAT dependant on your chosen dates including all instructed adventure activities with evening sessions, all multi-media 'explore' workshops, 2 nights' accommodation in modern en-suite bedrooms, food from evening meal on day of arrival to packed lunch on the day of departure. 1 FREE place for every 10 paying places as well!

"While the activities provide regular fodder for the boys' muscles and heart, the Zone workshops provided food for their mind and soul." - Teacher, Handsworth Grammar School

"The Zone was especially worthwhile... the workshops sow seeds that may take root later in life." - Teacher, Handsworth Grammar School

"The Explore residential was an extremely effective, engaging and thought provoking experience for our students."

"The planning of the Zone sessions has clearly been given deep thought, and the nature of the sessions ensures that students remain involved, active, engaged and enthused throughout. A very positive experience."

"Students are rarely given the opportunity to consider these aspects of their development, particularly how their actions can affect others, both positively and negatively."

"It was engaging, relevant and thought provoking for the students."

"A particular highlight was the forgiveness Zone, the way it was sewn together was absolutely immaculate, and the message was powerful. It was a real highlight of the week."

"Very impressive. It was pitched just right for children of the age that you were working with. It actually reminded me of a sort of CBBC Roadshow, with the stage, mics, music, videos and interaction. Very relevant and engaging." - Matt Ball, Netherstowe School
